13 Best Nanny Story Winners Receive Shopping Voucher -Mother’s Day!

Thirteen winners of the Best Nanny/CareGiver story contest walked away with mothers day shopping vouchers worth 100,000Ugx each, in celebration of their unwavering love for their bosses’ children. According to Managing Director Aunt Porridge Angella Nabweteme,”Nannies/CareGivers are the unsung heroes.” She said, “I want to dedicate this day to fathers who play double roles, maids who play a mother role, and everyone out there raising a child they didn’t conceive – you are doing an amazing job. God bless you.”

During the Mother’s Day 2024 celebration, we shifted our attention to the House Nannies/Caregivers who have dedicated their time and love to our children, making us proud mothers in our absence.

Aunt Porridge took the initiative to ask mothers and immediate relatives to write stories about how their Nannies/CareGivers have extended the purest form of love, nurturing their bosses’ children like their own.

Over 20 participants shared their stories, and 13 were selected as lucky winners. Some of the stories that were carefully chosen highlighted the unending love shown, time given, best feeding routines, and remarkable baby growth.

This contest showcased a full expression of how mothers have trusted caregivers with their children, and to our surprise, they have made them proud! Mothers Day is celebrated ever year on the 12th.May.

AUNT PORRIDGE VISITS THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST BY LATTER-DAY

We had a great and fulfilling time at the church of Jesus Christ by Latter-day Saints in Ntinda and Kabowa on Friday, April 26 and Saturday 27 April, respectively. The church administration educated their communities about good nutrition. They said had looked around for good nutrition examples and consulted widely before choosing Aunt Porridge as their most recommended product.

We were not surprised. We are used to being preferred and we thank everybody who has noticed our value. We arrived in good spirit and offered cooking lessons to the mothers in the community. We also taught them what Aunt Porridge can do.

The Church gave more than 200 mothers in central Kampala Aunt Porridge products as part of their yearly initiative to end malnutrition among children.

Sylvia Namuyomba, a member of the church from Mukono Seta said: “I am happy that the church today prioritised nutrition and also gave us Aunt Porridge. And I have a testimony; my in-law’s son, Ernest, was malnourished and a doctor in Namilyango hospital advised us to buy Aunt Porridge for the boy. When we did, the results were almost instant! We couldn’t believe it.”

“We are thankful to the Church of Jesus Christ by Latter Day Saints for choosing us! My message to the rest is that if this church, with all its network and expertise, could choose Aunt Porridge, why not you?” Hilary Bainemigisha, the director, said.

Aunt Porridge remains committed to helping alleviate malnutrition and prioritizing the health and well-being of everyone, especially women and children.
